So now I know why promotions are being handed out, Sensei Matt is head of the promotion board. I think I need to cut a few brown belts and a black belt. Judo’s becoming more political and SoCal judo is becoming an embarrassment due to poor quality sensei’s running and scoring at these tournaments. Hell if most of these guys don’t outweigh me by 60lbs, they get submitted in a minute or so. Seems only the few brown and black belts in upper divisions are quality judoka. A few are at UCSD, none at SDSU or most community colleges, so much for Judo in college.
